To those of us who have ridden in Rolling Thunder, Gunny's message below is of enormous importance. We've all wondered about this great Marine! PLEASE make Run For The Wall's voice of appreciation heard by SSgt Chambers:
"Patti and I rode into Washington DC with Run For The Wall last Friday then rode in Rolling Thunder on Sunday. We met this Marine - SSgt Tim Chambers [click to see a photo of SSgt Chambers on Day 10 webpage]- and his mom. SSgt Chambers was at our hotel, saluting the veterans riding in from California. We spoke with him for some time. SSgt Chambers is stationed in Camp Pendleton and has been saluting the riders of Rolling Thunder for six years. He pays his own way to DC each Memorial Day weekend but is now getting some harassment from his command for his "saluting". He can be reached at tim4america@aol.com.
