"Honoring All American Warriors"
Thanks so very much to Raven for sending these photos. The first series is of the Run For The Wall's wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Representatives from the Southern Route were Carl "Mustang" Hinkle and "$5 Marty" Gelbar.
After the wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns, RFTW riders proceeded to the Lincoln Memorial for the traditional group photo, then to The Vietnam Veterans Memorial...The Wall.
Run For The Wall wishes to express its deepest appreciation to ALL supporters, from those who provide support standing beside the road or on overpass bridges as we pass by to those who provide financial support. As always, it is impossible to know and thank all of the kind folks who help us as we cross the United States. Today, in Virginia, a few of the supporters included:
Virginia -
Holiday Inn Ballston
Arlington Police Department
Arlington Assembly of God
Gary Burd and Mission M-25
RFTW State Coordinator for Virginia, Bob "Zoom" Atwell
RFTW State Coordinator for Washington, D.C., John Gossen
6/20 - Roger "Cowboy" Mead sent the photo below of Karoni Forrester at her father's memorial site in Arlington National Cemetery. He wrote, "Here is a photo I think shows "why we ride"...[Karoni's] dad's memorial marker is in the Memorial section of ANC. This is the section for MIA's."
